Your Skin Vs. Your Diet

We all have those perfect imperfections called blemishes.  Some of us have dry skin, psoriasis, acne, and the list goes on.  Media has us looking at flawless airbrushed skin with make-up to perfection believing our self-esteem should be low.  When really we all have amazing flaws.

The fact of the matter is advancing yourself with knowledge that won’t necessarily make you look like the photoshopped version of Beyonce but make your skin healthy which in return you will feel comfortable in your own skin and be radiantly beautiful.

Here are 5 foods for your skin:

  • Avocados
  • Nuts
  • Chia Seeds
  • Flax Seeds
  • Pumpkin Seeds

These are all EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids) which are extremely important for your skin. The most important though is to stay hydrated! Dehydration is the biggest culprit for skin problems. Also try eliminating those trigger foods.  If you have rosacea nutritionist most the time suggest avoiding spicy foods.  Psoriasis victims should avoid gluten & saturated fat.

Remember care for your skin & start within!  Could your medication be brutalizing your skin?  Could it be what you drink?  Often we drink glasses of juice a day when really we should consume just one.  Try green tea it’s a life saver for the entire body including skin.

If all else fails our bodies are wonderful regenerating machines that just need to detox sometimes.
